The James family took over an aging property in 1986 and began the long journey of making it into what it is today.
In 2024 Michael and Stacy Hoffarth along with Adam and Marsha Doiron acquired the serene property. They are honoured to be keeping the legacy and traditions of Kindred spirits alive.
Welcome to the Family
Adam and Marsha Doiron, along with Michael and Stacy Hoffarth, are the new dynamic ownership team at Kindred Spirits! They're excited and eager to build on the Kindred Spirits legacy.
Michael, Stacy, and their two girls will be hands-on at the site, ready to greet both new and returning guests. We hope you will join us on picturesque Prince Edward Island to create memorable experiences together.
Many of the Kindred Spirits staff and guests return year after year and are considered to be an extension of the family. The general manager, has been with Kindred Spirits for over 9 years! She works with Michael and Stacy to ensure that all of our guests and staff are taken care of.

We are approximately 1 kilometre from the sea. We are not ocean front but there is an easy path which goes directly to the beach. It is approximately a 20 minute walk along the beautiful Lake of Shining Waters.
It is approximately 45 kilometres (~30 minutes driving) from Charlottetown.
Children are very, very welcome.
We are literally next-door neighbours with Green Gables House. It is just a short 3 minute walk from our property.
Is Cavendish safe? It is. PEI is a very safe place in general.
We serve breakfast to all guests staying in our rooms.
